About Jessica Hsieh
I was working in a high-pressure corporate environment a few years ago. While striving for impact in a very challenging area of work and in pursuit of big career goals, I hit a wall and experienced burnout like never before. I had go to the ER three times in one week!
This was a wakeup call for me that something needed to change. I decided to practice strategies for intentional Rest.
It started with small practices and a lot of experimentation - gradually, I started to recover. I also decided to take an unpaid leave of absence for three months. During this time, I was able to rest even more deeply - mind, body, and soul.
From this experience, I realized I wanted to help other tired professionals find the rest they need, so they can show up as their best selves.
And that's why I started Meaningful Rest. I saw an opportunity to help others as a companion, advisor, and guide.
